... starts with a new way to purchase cards, prints and canvases of James' work. A small selection of his work is exhibited at Redbubble, but any image on this site may be purchased from there; just contact James with details of the image(s) and desired formats and he'll get back to you as soon as the image is available to purchase from Redbubble - usually within 24 hours.
James now offers individually tailored 1-2-1 tuition covering anything from camera basics and the fundamentals of photography to studio lighting and advanced photo-editing in Photoshop. Sessions can also include an introduction to nude and boudoir photo shoots, including how to recruit models, on-set etiquette, and lighting the human form. Tuition starts at just £20, so contact James if you would like to learn more from a contributor to Lighting The Nude.
This month also sees a small update of the following galleries: Brief Encounters (new images appended to gallery 11), Figure Work (updates to galleries 3 and 5).
Then there is the publication of a new book featuring James' work and details of some of his favourite photographic and retouching techniques.
Lighting the Nude: Top Photography Professionals Share Their Secrets contains inspiring erotic and nude imagery along with the method (including lighting diagrams) employed to create each image.
You can now purchase open edition prints (framed or matted), cards and canvases of James' work via Redbubble online art gallery.
Look out for a range of stockings by Stockings and Romance featuring a series of pinup images by James on the packaging.
Also, check out the photo blog run by a very close colleague of James, product photographer Adrian Multon.
There's also a joint exhibition in the pipeline, with 2 other erotic artists from the AEA.

the photographer...
...lives in the old English fishing town of Wivenhoe, Essex. He divides his time between commercial lingerie photography, boudoir photo shoots, and his personal work as an erotic artist. He sometimes also ventures down to London’s lively burlesque scene. He shoots on location and in the studio, exploring notions of beauty and eroticism with a blend of traditional pictoralism, innovation, noir and romanticism.
James was educated at the University of Essex, earning a Bachelor’s degree in English and European Literature and a Master’s degree in Computer Studies. He spent a decade working in London, during which time he began to exhibit his photography. Eventually, the passionate belief that people should endeavour to live their dreams lead him to make photography his life and profession. To that end, he went to The London College of Communication where he studied Professional Photography Practice and took a Graduate Certificate in Digital Lens Based Image Making, for which he was awarded a distinction.
